After years of documenting the air quality locally by using photography as a tool of observation and data collection, the Sky Palette prints were born.

‘Rayleigh scattering’ is the scientific term used to describe the way light travels through the atmosphere. Particles (both natural and manmade pollutants) in the sky interact with the wavelengths of light, inevitably affecting the final colours and hues we see in our skies. Often times, during the rise and fall of the sun, the denser the air, the richer the spectrum of colours.

Each Sky Palette produced is a unique colour gradient, as the resulting image depends on the cocktail of atmospheric particulate matter at the specific location & time of day that it was captured.
